The manifest universe is a result of the Self-Contemplation of God. Our world of affairs is the result of our self-contemplation. We are at first ignorant of this and so we blind our self through wrong thought and action. As we reverse this thought, we reverse the condition attendant upon it. There is neither effort nor strain in knowing the Truth. Right action will be compelled through right knowing. Therefore, when we know the Truth, It will compel us to act in a correct manner.
Since the Law is mental, one must believe in It, in order to have It work affirmatively for you. But It is always working according to our belief, whether we are conscious of this truth or not. Demonstration takes place through the field of One Universal Mind. We set the Power in motion; the Law produces the effect. We plant the seed and the Law produces the plant.
One should never allow themselves to think of, or talk about, limitation or poverty. Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he or she thinks into it. The more spiritual the thought, the higher its manifestation. Spiritual thought means an absolute belief in, and reliance upon, Truth. This is both natural and normal.
Science of Mind Dr. Ernest Holmes Pgs 322, 323
“Life is a mirror and will reflect back to me what I think into it. The more spiritual my thought, the higher its manifestation.” Dr. Holmes
The problem with living a life of peace is a misunderstanding of exactly where the peace must live. Almost everyone sees peace as an external idea. Most do not see the experience of chaos as an inner issue. The consequence for such a misunderstanding is a unpredictable life of frustration and disease. The real experience is always an internal affair. The chaos is never outside of us, it is always within. If you are living in a state of consistent frustration then you are living in the result of the self-contemplation of your circumstance and condition. Your life is the result of what you contemplate. Ignorance of this fact is no excuse.
To change your experience you must redirect your attention to your inner ideas and beliefs. The external is just a symptom of what is going on inside of you. As Emerson said, “What lies behind me and what lies before me are tiny matters compared to what lies within me.” The core of all frustration is the lack of ability and capacity to apply Principle. Principle is the truth of who you are applied to your understanding and ability to focus your attention upon Love. As Holmes suggests, never allow your mind to contemplate limitation or poverty. Attend church every Sunday and you will begin to accumulate the consciousness of love.
This Sunday Rev. Mara Pennell will be speaking on The Experience is the Mirror. I will be back next Sunday speaking on, “The Circle is the Cipher.” God Bless You
