Dean Sluyter - Back by Popular Demand

Dean Sluyter - Back by Popular Demand

Tickets $25.00 at the event

Throughout the ages, some seers of sacred reality have shown up as teachers, like Christ or the Buddha. Others have appeared as artists — painters, musicians, poets — expressing their vision of the One through their art. Join meditation teacher and award-winning author Dean Sluyter in a lively exploration of some of the most sublime enlightenment poetry ever written, including gems from Rumi, Kabir, Dante, Mirabai, Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, and Allen Ginsberg. For this topic, Dean draws on a unique background: for many years he taught literature at a top independent school, and he has narrated poetry audiobooks from the Sufi mystics to the Beats. He’ll bring these sacred verses to life — and show how to use them as a springboard into deep meditation.
